This home was constructed in 1832 by John Blair, a congressman and attorney who represented East TN. The home sits on 4+ private landscaped acres in the heart of Jonesborough, Tennessee's Oldest Town. The next owner was Brigadier General Rueben Frank Barnard who served in the Civil War. The next purchase was made by Dominique (Fevrier) February. It is reported that Mr. Febuary was given the monies to purchase the home by his mentor and fellow tailor, Andrew Johnson, (then the 17th President of the US). . The home passed down thru several generations of Febuary's until is was sold to Dr. and Mrs. Dossett, who did extensive renovations/restorations to the home returning it to its original appearance. At this time "Febuary Hill" was the name given to this property after the long linage of Febuary's. This home was a B & B and could be again. Much of the home has remained original over the years although much modernization has taken place such as the 4 bay garage, central HVAC, bath addition, gourmet kitchen etc. This pre-Civil War residence is listed on the National Historic Register. This home is a must see while very modern still evident is it's original character. The outdoor living spaces will make you feel relaxed in privacy, from the hot tub to the sitting areas you will feel at home. Situated one block from Main St. It is an easy walk from where many events and festivals are held. Enjoy restaurants and shopping.
