My name is Shelley Martin, and the hills of Northeast Tennessee have been my home my whole life. After graduating from King University with a degree in English and Education, I then taught at Sullivan Central High School (my alma mater) for a decade. I have a Master’s Degree from ETSU in School Library Media, and an Ed.S. from Union College in Educational Leadership. My experience in education affirmed my belief that regardless of my career path, I am passionate about working with people and building relationships based on trust, respect, and loyalty. My grandfather also demonstrated these qualities as a residential contractor in Bristol for fifty years, forty of them featuring him at the helm of the Roby Shelley Construction Company, and my dad, Mark Wingate, has been building beautiful decks and porches throughout the region for a couple of decades. Though the construction process was never really my thing, I have always been fascinated by the way people can turn a house-‐whether it be a newly constructed blank canvas or an outdated fixer upper-‐into a home. And home is what it’s all about. I share mine with my husband, Chris, and our kids, Jack and Joli. We are members of First Baptist Church in Blountville. I would love to help you with any real estate needs, and I look forward to serving our beautiful region!
